Ameliorate means “to improve” and I look forward to working with clients who, like me, are ready for their own journey of self-improvement.
My name is Dianne. I live in Edinburgh with my husband, and I have 2 adult daughters who are busy forging their own paths in life. In 2024 I retired from a teaching career of over 30 years, to continue my passion in fitness and wellbeing. I love my role helping others get themselves healthier. I believe that an active lifestyle impacts mindset and opens doors to new experiences.
Situated in the lovely surroundings at the foot of the Pentland Hills, let me help with your fitness journey.
Have worked with Dianne for 8 weeks, have found her incredibly supportive and genuinely interested in my own very unique fitness journey. Her attitude is full of encouragement and excitement for my progress. Workmates have begun to comment, and I feel fitter.
CLASSES
PT Sessions
Work 1-1 to progress your strength, endurance, mobility and muscle tone, and improve your respiratory health. Feel the benefit in your everyday activities and general wellbeing, or train more specifically to achieve your sporting goals. Sessions are offered indoors, and can be booked in 4 or 12 week blocks.
I am 50 and someone who has never really exercised. Best thing I’ve ever done. Dianne is not a scary PT, she’s about encouraging and helping you to build the strength to get through. I could see the changes after a couple of weeks.
Circuit Classes
A full body workout with a mix of body weight and resistance exercises promoting your coordination, flexibility and muscular strength and endurance.
Come along and benefit from the smaller group setting, offering a personal focus from the trainer, as well as encouragement from the others.
It’s great being a small group as you can work at your own pace but have the encouragement from the others.
Highly recommend you give this a try.

Weight Management
Making those healthy changes to your diet doesn’t need to take over your life. Any changes need to be sustainable and that’s where I can help. Understanding what your body actually needs and what you’re putting in is a balancing act, and then ensuring you’re getting all the important nutrients to cover the demands of life is an extra consideration. Work with me to monitor and explore your habits, and choose healthier options to manage your weight.
Dianne helped me to understand my eating habits and the impact food has on the way I feel. As a result, I am healthier, fitter and feel far better in my clothes. It’s the guidance that everyone needs.
